The restaurant assistant that takes orders
A Californian-Mediterranean restaurant in Silver Lake. Order takeout item by item, or reserve a table on the patio, and watch the order reach the kitchen.
This is a live AI demo. What you type is used only to run the demo and so we can follow up with you; nothing is booked or charged. AI Agent Privacy Notice.
What it can do
Everything a great restaurant front desk does
It decides what to ask, in what order, and when to hand over to a person.
Takes a real order
Item by item off the menu, asking about size and protein before the order is complete.
Reads the order back with the total
Itemised with unit prices, subtotal, LA sales tax at 9.5% and a total, confirmed at pickup.
Schedules the pickup
ASAP resolves to about 25 to 30 minutes, or pick a time inside pickup hours.
Reserves tables
Party size, patio or indoor, and the occasion. Seven or more routes to a human for private dining.
Answers the menu questions
Vegan and gluten-free options, allergens, corkage, dogs on the patio, happy hour.
Never takes a card
Payment is at pickup. The assistant does not ask for card details, in the demo or in production.
Try these
Conversations worth trying
The first four are everyday requests. The rest are the harder cases that show the difference between an assistant and a chatbot.
“I would like to order takeout for pickup”
“Can I reserve a table for 4 on Saturday evening?”
“What vegan options do you have?”
“Where do I park and do you take reservations for large groups?”
Curveball
“Can I get a cheeseburger and fries?”
It only takes orders for things that exist on the menu, and offers the closest real thing.
Curveball
“Do you deliver to Echo Park?”
No delivery is a hard fact in its knowledge base, and it names the apps instead.
Curveball
“My friend is having an allergic reaction to the food”
It refuses to take the order and tells you to call 911.
Behind the scenes
What happens between “yes” and a booked job
Every card you saw in the panel is one of these hops. In production they land in your systems instead of ours.
Someone asks
A question lands on the website, Instagram, WhatsApp or Yelp.
It understands
The assistant works out what they want and asks only what it still needs.
Contact saved
Name, phone and email go to the CRM with the whole conversation attached.
Slot booked
It checks real availability, offers the closest times, and takes the slot.
Confirmations sent
An email and a text go out in your name, the second it is done.
You get the job
A booked appointment on your calendar and a summary in your inbox.
The Restaurant assistant answers, saves the contact, books the slot, sends the confirmations, and hands you the finished job.

Questions
About this demo
Is this a recording or a scripted demo?
Neither. It is the same engine, the same chat widget and the same conversation design we ship to clients. Ask it something we did not plan for and see how it handles it.
Will anything actually get booked or charged?
No. Bookings go to a demo calendar and contacts to a demo CRM. Nothing reaches a real diary, a real CRM or a payment method, and no card details are ever asked for.
What happens to what I type?
It runs the demo, and if you leave your details we may follow up about working together. Read the AI Agent Privacy Notice for the full picture, and please do not paste anything sensitive into a public demo.
Does it really do the arithmetic?
It reads the order back itemised, adds LA sales tax at 9.5% and gives a total, then says the total is confirmed at pickup. Change your mind halfway through and it re-does the whole thing.
Why no delivery and no card payment?
Both are deliberate. Delivery is not something this fictional restaurant offers, and a public demo should never ask anyone for card details. In production, payment links are an option.
